About Us
Shahporan Masjid & Islamic Centre has been serving Muslims in East London for decades. Our doors are open for the five daily prayers, Jumu'ah, Tarawih during Ramadan, and a wide range of educational and community activities for all ages.
We are a registered charity (Reg. No. 1057627) operating as the Shahporan Masjid Trust, sustained entirely by the generosity of the community we serve.

Knowledge
Almost every evening in the main prayer hall there is an informal circle which can be heard in both the male and female prayer areas. During British Summer Time, the circle is typically held after 'Asr or Maghrib. For the rest of the year, it follows the 'Isha prayer.
Topics include Qur'anic tafsir, prophetic biography, fiqh, and spiritual reminders. Everyone is welcome — no registration needed.
For Our Children
A nurturing environment where children learn the Qur'an, Islamic studies, and the manners of our beloved Prophet ﷺ.
Tajwīd, memorisation and beautiful recitation taught by qualified teachers.
Foundations of 'Aqīdah, Fiqh, Sīrah and Akhlāq taught age-appropriately.
Modelled on the prophetic Sunnah — respect, kindness and discipline.
